অন্ধকার জ্বলে উঠতেই বোঝা গেল রাত্রি

মাঠ মাঠ কৃষিখেতের কবর

শুকনো ফুলের মতো কৃষকের হৃদপিণ্ড

পড়ে আছে সমাধিপথের

পাথরের বুকের উপর…

আর ওই মৌন চাঁদ, চৈতন্যের আত্মহত্যার সাক্ষীর মতো

মহাপ্রভু গভীরতা—

ওর আলোর কীর্তন আমাদের মায়ের মতোন

সুর করে জাগে

ওর পদাবলি আয়ু, প্রেমিকার মতো নরমিয়া

অতএব, রোগাটে পাড়ার পেটে

বাড়ে অবৈধ দিগন্তের তলানি তারা,

দূরকে কাছের করে

দূরত্ব ভোলানো আবদারে

পথ-ঘাট ভেজা

আর দশদিকে আমি—

আমার সন্তান হয়ে বায়না করছি

আমার কাছেই
