রূপা ভবানী | (১৬২৫-১৭২১)

একজন মরমী সাধক ও কবি। শ্রীনগরের সাফা কাদল অঞ্চলে এক শিক্ষিত ব্রাহ্মণ পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। পিতা পণ্ডিত মাধব জু ধর। তিনি অলকেশ্বরী ও সাহিব নামেও পরিচিত। ছোটবেলা থেকেই তাঁর ঝোঁক ছিল আধ্যাত্মিকতার দিকে। সেই সময়ের রীতি অনুযায়ী যদিও তার বিয়ে হয় সাত বছর বয়সে, অল্পদিনের মধ্যেই তিনি পিতার গৃহে ফিরে আসেন।বাবা তাকে সাদরে গ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর আধ্যাত্মিক ক্ষমতার প্রতি তাঁর বাবার ছিল অগাধ আস্থা। এরপর তিনি বিভিন্ন নির্জন স্থানে বহু বছর ধরে কঠোর সাধনা করেন এবং সিদ্ধিলাভ করেন। পরবর্তীতে তিনি তাঁর একনিষ্ঠ শিষ্যদের কাছে তাঁর সাধনপথের অভিজ্ঞতা ও মহাজাগতিক চেতনার কথা কাব্যিক উচ্চারণ বা ‘বাখ’-এর মাধ্যমে বর্ণনা করেন। ‘বাখ’ কাশ্মীরের একধরনের কবিতার রূপ যা সাধারণত চার পঙক্তির হয়ে থাকে। চতুর্দশ শতাব্দীর সন্তকবি লাল দেদ্-এর বাখগুলি এ প্রসঙ্গে উল্লেখযোগ্য। রূপা ভবানীর আধ্যাত্মিক কাব্য ‘রহস্যপোদেশ’। যেখানে তিনি প্রাথমিক দার্শনিক প্রশ্নগুলি উপস্থাপন করেছেন: জীবনের উদ্দেশ্য, কীভাবে সুসাম্য স্থাপন করা সম্ভব ব্যক্তিমানুষের মূল উপাদানগুলি—দেহ,মন,আত্মা,আবেগের ভিতর। তিনি বলেছেন দেহের সীমাবদ্ধতা দূর করে কীভাবে আধ্যাত্মিক মুক্তির দিকে এগিয়ে যাওয়া সম্ভব এবং লাভ করা সম্ভব প্রগাঢ় শান্তি।পুরোনো কাশ্মীরি, সংস্কৃত ও ফার্সি ভাষার মিশ্রণে রূপা ভবানীর বাখগুলি রচিত। যে কারণে তাঁর বাখগুলি কেবল দীক্ষিত পাঠকের আগ্রহের বিষয় হয়ে থেকেছে।সাধারণের কাছে দুর্বোধ্য হওয়ার কারণেই তাঁর বাখগুলি সাধারণের দ্বারা গীত হয়ে কাশ্মীরবাসীর মৌখিক ঐতিহ্যের অংশ হয়ে ওঠেনি। রূপা ভবানী সুফিসাধকদের সাথে নিয়মিত আধ্যাত্মিক আলোচনা করতেন।বেদ,উপনিষদ, বেদান্ত,শৈবদর্শনে তাঁর অগাধ জ্ঞান ছিল। তিনি তাঁর কবিতায় মানুষের সৃষ্ট জাতপাতের বিরুদ্ধে বলেছেন। চাষবাস ও নদীপথে যাতায়াত—কাশ্মীরের এই অতি পরিচিত চিত্রের মেটাফোর ব্যবহার করে তিনি জন্মসূত্রে উচ্চতার ধারণার অর্থহীনতাকে তুলে ধরেছেন। তিনি বলেছেন, পরমেশ্বর যিনি জীবাত্মাকে পৃথিবীর ঝঞ্ঝাক্ষুব্ধ সাগর পার করে দেন, যখন তাঁরই কোনো বর্ণ, রূপ, গোত্র নেই, তখন আমরা সামান্য মানুষ কীভাবে এই ভেদাভেদ আরোপ করতে পারি। কাশ্মীরি পণ্ডিত সমাজের অনেক কুপ্রথা তিনি দূর করেছিলেন। ধর্মের বাহ্যিক আচার ও রীতিগুলিকে তিনি বর্জন করেছিলেন।

সহজ—তান্ত্রিক যোগের একটি পরিভাষা। যার অর্থ স্বাভাবিক, স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত, আদি অবস্থা ও সত্তা।
