নয় রকমের শীত

ডুয়ার্সের জঙ্গলে নয় রকমের শীত আমি জানি; ঘন শীতের রাতে
কুকুর ডাকে ভুটান পাহাড়ে, যেন প্রথম শব্দ
ভুমিষ্ঠ হল এই মাঘের রাতে; তারপর হামাগুড়ি দিয়ে রাত চলে আসে
আমার কম্বলে; মা’র কথা মনে হয় পরোক্ষে
আমি দলসিংপাড়া চা-বাগানের বাবু কোয়ার্টারের সামনে
সাদা বেতের চেয়ারে বসে আছি যেন কোথাও মহাকাশ চুরি হয়ে যাবে;
ফ্যাক্টরি থেকে বেজে উঠবে লাল নক্ষত্র সাইরেন; কাল হাটবার
চারদিকে; আমার বড়ো ঠান্ডা লাগে। এখন বড়ো শীত সিটিসি চা বাগানে
গরম জলের মতো বৃষ্টি প্রয়োজন এই হিমযুগে
ট্র্যাক্টরে হিম পড়ে, লেবার লাইন থেকে হিমযুগ ওঠে
দেবাশিসদের বাড়ির কাছে; দেবাশিসের মা, বোন, দেবাশিসদের
ইউ-আকারের হলুদ কোয়ার্টার– যেন এক গর্ভ আমার;
ঘরের কোণে অনেক বিজয়ার কার্ড আর রঙিন মাকড়সা, টেবিলে এক কাপ চা
আলিপুরদুয়ার থেকে কেউ চিঠি লেখে না আর
এখন কম্বল থেকে কম্বলান্তরে নাও হে আমাকে, গ্রহ থেকে গ্রহান্তরে
পাঠাও শুধু বাঁচিয়ে রাখার জন্য
আবার আমাকে গর্ভে নাও লীলাবতী, পরিপুষ্ট করে
পাঠাও
আবার এই চা বাগানে
আমি পাতা হব, জেভিয়ার খাখা হব, বাবু হব ম্যানেজারের দারোয়ান হব,
ভুটান পাহাড় হব, কাপ হব, ডিশ হব, সনৎ মুন্ডা হব, কালো রাস্তা হব
পুরনো জিপ হব
হাট হব, হাড়িয়া হব, চকচকে সাদা দাঁত হব
এক লোটা জল হব, লীলাবতী। নয় রকমের মনখারাপ নিয়ে ঢুকে পড়ি
আমার তরুণী মা’র গর্ভের মতো কালো কম্বলে
সারা শীতকাল
এখনে শীত নেই, প্রিয়দর্শিনী নেই, কাম নেই, আয়োজন নেই– অপেক্ষা আছে
আমি গর্ভ থেকে জ্বরগ্রস্থ– খুঁটেছি খাবার, অন্ধকার, জল
যেন প্যারাসিটামল
তবু বড়ো স্থিতি যখন আমি কোথাও নেই; গর্ভে বসে নয় রকমের হাসি শিখি;
গর্ভে বসে ঝিমোই যেন জন্মবৃদ্ধ এক শিশু

মনে পড়ে দলসিংপাড়া টি এস্টেট এবং শীত, যেন এক তীব্র হিমযুগ
মাথার ওপরে ভুটান পাহাড়
মাটিতে নীল কুয়াশা; আমি হেঁটে যাচ্ছি ক্রমাগত উষ্ণ রমণী থেকে রমণীতে
