জন্ম কল্যাণীতে। বর্তমানে উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলার বনগ্রামে স্থায়ী ঠিকানা। বাংলায় স্নাতক হওয়ার পর বাংলা ও শিক্ষা বিজ্ঞান উভয় বিষয়ে স্নাতকোত্তর। উচ্চশিক্ষার পাশাপাশি খুব ছোটবেলা থেকেই  তাঁর লেখালিখির শুরু।  সেইসব দারুণ শৈশব আর কৈশোরের দিনগুলোতে ছোট বোনের সহচর্য ছিল অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।  পরবর্তী কালে কলেজ জীবনে আসেন আরো একজন বিশেষ মানুষ যিনি শিরদাঁড়া হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে সমস্ত কাজে উৎসাহ যুগিয়ে চলেছেন আজও। বিভিন্ন ছোট বড় পত্রিকায় লেখার পাশাপাশি আবৃত্তি, শ্রুতিনাটক, কত্থক ও রবীন্দ্রনৃত্যর সাথেও যুক্ত তিনি। বর্তমানে তাঁর তৈরী করা সাংস্কৃতিক ও সামাজিক প্রতিষ্ঠান ‘ভোরের আলো’ বনগ্রাম এলাকায় নানান সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মকান্ডে এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা নিয়েছে।

মুখোমুখি

আমি ‘কুরূপা’ থেকে ‘সুরূপা’ হতে চেয়েছি

একটু ভালোবাসা পাবো বলে,

বাস্তবের মুখোমুখি দাঁড়িয়ে হতবাক ক্লান্ত—

দীর্ঘ তালিকা রাখা হল আমার সামনে— এই ওই

কত কিছু দরকার ভালোবাসা পাবার জন্য…

আর না পেলে ক্রমাগত রক্ত ঝরে যাওয়া,

এই কালসিটে মনে সমস্ত সরলের উত্তর শূন্য…

ঝড় জলের রাতে সপ সপ করে পড়া

প্রশংসার খিদে নিয়ে

আমি দীর্ঘ পাহাড়ের উপর থেকে লাফ দিই,

নীচে তুলি ধোয়া জলের স্রোত,

ঘড়িতে যখন বারোটা লাস ভেসে উঠল,

আয়নার দক্ষিনায়ন…

হেয়ার পিন

এলোমেলো চুলগুলো হেয়ার পিন দিয়ে গুছিয়ে নিলাম,

ডানপাশ ঘেঁষে একটা আধফোটা কামিনীর থোকা !

খুব শখ ছিল

তুই খোঁপায় ফুল গুঁজে দিবি।

রান্নাঘরে উদগ্রীব রেসিপিরা…

জলপ্রপাতের ঘরে আমরা আধমরা জোনাকি,

বালিঘড়িকে সাক্ষী রেখে রং রুটের জানলাটা

আজও অপেক্ষায়…

হয়তো ফিরবিই না,

হয়তো আদরটাও ভুলে গেছিস নতুনের গন্ধে…

খাদ

পার্থেনিয়াম আঁচলে বাঁধা, ইতস্তত পারদ, ঘর ছাড়া মানুষের দল…

জিভের কামড়ে রক্তাত্ব ফুটপাত, ছায়ারাও আজকাল

দোষারোপ শিখে গেছে !

চিবুক বেয়ে ঋতুরা হিমঘরে বিছানা পাতে,

নাভিশ্বাস আর দীর্ঘশ্বাসের পার্থক্য – খুঁজেতে জানে কেবল

গাঢ় নীল রঙের খাদেরা

প্লাবন

লাল ঝুমকোলতা সিঁড়ির ঘরে,

মিনার ছোঁয়া মেঘ গা ধুচ্ছে দিঘির জলে…

দোলমঞ্চে রং রুট,

নিউমার্কেটে কেনাকাটা সেরে

ওরা পাশাপাশি।

অভিমান মুখচোরা,

আস্তিনের ভাঁজে অবুঝ মুখ…

অপত্য কোষ নামহীন !
